FamilyMatters@School is a partnership programme with MSF (Ministry of Social and Family Development) to offer parents and students easy access to family life education (FLE) programmes and resources. It seeks to help parents and students enhance the quality of family life by equipping them with the skills and confidence to build strong relationships. All activities are complimentary.

Triple P Seminars

The school will be organizing The Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P) Seminars which will be held on Zoom. The dates are:
            Seminar 1 - Raising Responsible Teenagers : 16 April (Friday) 8-9pm
            Seminar 2 - Raising Competent Teenagers:  23  April (Friday ) 8-9pm
            Seminar 3 - Getting Teenagers Connected : 30  April (Friday) 8-9pm

Lakeside Family Services has been appointed by MSF in 2020 to deliver parenting support services to Jurongville Secondary School. Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P) is an evidence-based programme that equips parents with techniques to promote your children’s (aged up to 16 years) psychological, social and emotional competencies. Triple P is built on a tiered system that provides different degrees of parental support.

The Triple P Seminars will be held on Zoom in Term 2. The Programme is a strategy designed to better support and empower parents with the skills in maintaining positive parent-child relationship. More details of the seminars will be provided soon.

Audience Parents generally coping well but who have 1 to 2 concerns about child’s behaviour
Parents of children with mild to moderate behavioural difficulties
Parents with concerns about their child’s behaviour who require intensive training in positive parenting
Structure
(Over Zoom)
3 seminars, 1 hour each
3 - 4 individual sessions of 45 minutes each
5 small-group sessions (2 hours per session) and 3 phone consultations
