Class Leaders

In Jurongville Secondary School, Class Leaders play an essential role to foster a positive and supportive learning environment within their classrooms. They serve as a bridge between the students and teachers, promoting communication, teamwork and a sense of responsibility among their peers.

Class Leaders are appointed by their Class Mentors to represent their classmates in various capacities. They help ensure that classroom activities run smoothly and that every student has a voice to be heard. Their responsibilities encompass handling administrative duties and supporting the overall well-being of their classmates. They lead by example to set a positive tone and encourage both participation and cooperation within the class.

Key responsibilities include:

Facilitating Communication: Class Leaders ensure effective communication between teachers and students by relaying important information and addressing any concerns from their peers.
Maintaining Class Discipline: Class Leaders help to maintain a conducive learning environment by encouraging good behaviour and classroom discipline among their classmates.
Leading Class Activities: Class Leaders organise and manage class events, group projects and initiatives that promote teamwork and class spirit.
Supporting Classmates: Class Leaders provide peer support by assisting classmates who may need help with academic and/or personal matters. They also help foster an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment

Town Hall Meetings

Class Leaders attend regular Town Hall meetings, where they receive leadership training. The Town Hall meetings are designed to equip them with the skills needed to manage their responsibilities effectively, inspire their classmates, lead group activities and handle classroom challenges.
