School Admission (DSA) to Secondary 1
“Sports for Life” ~ Character through Sports Exposure, Empowerment & Excellence
Our Sports for Life involves a whole-school approach to character building through sports. The overall curriculum is demarcated into three main tiers, namely, Sports Exposure, Sports Empowerment and Sports Excellence. Values such as perseverance, respect, integrity discipline & empathy are reinforced through the learning experiences in each tier.
Jurongville Secondary School
has offered Direct School Admission (DSA) through sports since 2012 under the
Learning for Life Programme. This year, we would like to invite Primary 6 students who are
talented in Football(Boys), Netball(Girls) and Tchoukball(Boys and Girls) to apply for DSA to our school.
Applicants should have represented their School / Singapore Schools / Clubs / National Youth Teams in competitions at least one of the following levels, Zonal, National, Local, or International Competitions.
From 23 to 27 July, all applicants will be invited to attend the selection trials of the respective sports.
After the selection trials,
shortlisted applicants will have to attend an interview. The following

Applicants for the 2019 Secondary 1 intake can download the application form HERE
or collect a copy of the application form from Jurongville
Secondary School General Office (GO). All completed forms are to be submitted
to the GO by 6 July 2018, 5pm.
The results will be released by 31 August 2018.
Applicants will be notified of the outcomes by 31 August 2018. Successful DSA applicants will be admitted if they accept the DSA offer and qualify for the Express / Normal Academic / Normal Technical Courses after the release of the PSLE results.
Successful DSA-Sec candidates are NOT allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results. They are expected to honour the commitment to the posted DSA schools for the duration of the programme admitted to.
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the students' aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools' academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
