Our distinctive ALP, “Real-World Learning Through Electronics”, enables students to appreciate the applications and importance of electronics in everyday life, potentially grooming them into community-spirited engineers. Our students have the opportunity to learn electronics through various platforms, including but not limited to Project Work lessons, specialised subjects offered at the O-level (Electronics) and NT-level (Smart Electrical Technology), robotics, learning journeys and work attachments with relevant industries.   


Students would experience a four/five-year programme with level-specific themes.




Secondary 1


Students are introduced and exposed to the world of electronics.

Secondary 2


Students apply their basic understanding of electronics to real-world problems.

Secondary 3 


Students understand the significance of electronics in society, and contribute to society through electronics-related tasks.

 Secondary 4 and 5

My Future Choices

Students understand the higher education pathways and career options on electronics.



Application Process

Applicants for the 2018 Secondary 1 intake can download the application form HERE or collect a copy of the application form from Jurongville Secondary School General Office (GO). All completed forms are to be submitted to the GO by 7 July 2017 and the results will be released by 31 August 2017.

Applicants are to attach certified true copies of the following:

·         Primary 5 (Mid-Year and Year-End) and Primary 6 (Mid-Year) Academic Records

·         Certificates of participation, representation and achievements in Science/Design-related Competitions or Projects (if any)

·         Letters of recommendation from school, e.g. testimonials from teachers (if any)

·         Student's Birth Certificate

·         IC/Passport of Parent/Guardian

·         MOECSC Registration Number (only for students currently not studying in Singapore mainstream primary schools)



Selection Process

The selection criteria via the DSA (ALP) are shown below:

Applicants should

·         have strong interest in Science, Electronics and/or Robotics; and

·         have done well in Science/Design-related competitions or projects at school or national level. 


Shortlisted applicants will have to attend an interview during the period 24 to 28 July 2017.


Successful candidates will be given opportunities to participate in Science, Electronics and/or Robotics-related competitions, work attachments with relevant industries and overseas learning journeys.



Application Outcome

Applicants will be notified of the outcomes by 31 August 2017. Successful DSA applicants will be admitted if they accept the DSA offer and qualify for the Express / Normal Academic / Normal Technical Courses after the release of the PSLE results. 


Successful DSA-Sec candidates are NOT allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results. They are expected to honour the commitment to the posted DSA schools for the duration of the programme admitted to.
